Express Blinds & Curtains was founded with a clear focus—to deliver made-to-measure window solutions with care, consistency, and attention to detail. At the heart of what we do is our Barnsley showroom and production facility, where customers can explore a wide range of blinds, shutters, and curtains, alongside an extensive collection of fabric samples from leading suppliers. It’s a space designed to help you see, feel, and compare options—supported by expert, practical advice to guide your choices.

By manufacturing the majority of our blinds and curtains in-house, we maintain full control over every stage—from design through to delivery—ensuring a consistently high standard across every project.

How long have you been operating?

We’ve been providing made-to-measure blinds, curtains, and shutters for over 25 years, building a strong reputation for quality, consistency, and reliable service.

The business was founded in 2000 by Jeff Dale and formally incorporated in 2007, growing steadily through long-term relationships and a commitment to doing things properly.

Do you really make everything in-house?

We manufacture the majority of our products in-house — typically around 85% — giving us full control over quality, lead times, and the ability to tailor each product to your exact requirements.

All of our Curtains, and Roman, Roller, Cellular, Perfect Fit, Roof, Vertical, and Allusion blinds are made within our own workshop. For specialist products such as Shutters, Venetian, an Skylight blinds, we work with carefully selected suppliers with whom we’ve built long-standing, trusted relationships.

What areas do you serve?

We’re based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, and support customers locally and across the UK. Our core service area includes Barnsley, Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham, and surrounding locations such as Wakefield, Huddersfield, Worksop, and the Hope Valley.

For residential projects, we focus on South Yorkshire and nearby areas, while for commercial work and larger projects, we operate nationwide—working with clients across the UK.

Is installation included in the price?

Yes—all installations within our core service area are included in the quoted price and carried out by our own experienced team. We manage everything from measuring through to fitting, ensuring a consistent, high-quality finish.

For projects outside of our main coverage area, a travel charge may apply depending on location. We’ll always confirm this in advance so you have a clear understanding of costs before proceeding.

What happens if something goes wrong?

We’re here to support you long after installation. If there’s an issue with our product or workmanship, we’ll put it right promptly and professionally. We also offer ongoing repairs and maintenance, so if your blinds or curtains need adjustment or attention in the future, you can rely on us.

All of our work is backed by a 5-year limited guarantee, giving you confidence in both the quality of our products and our installation.

Our warranty applies from the original invoice date and includes:
0–12 months: Full cover for faults due to materials, workmanship, or our installation, including parts, labour, and reasonable call‑out.
13–24 months: Extended cover for defects in materials or workmanship (excluding electronic components, batteries, and environmental effects such as fading or warping).
25–60 months: Limited cover for faults arising from our workmanship or installation only.

The guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, environmental conditions (such as heat, moisture, or sunlight), or issues caused by third-party adjustments.

Where no fault is found, or repairs fall outside the warranty, reasonable call‑out, labour, and parts charges may apply. All repairs or replacements are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
