This project began with a customer visiting our showroom, having already sourced a fabric she was keen to incorporate into a Roman blind for her window. During the consultation with our Window Furnishings Specialist, we carefully assessed the suitability of the fabric in relation to the window size and design requirements.
It became clear that due to the pattern repeat and the width of the window, there was insufficient material to produce a Roman blind without compromising the overall look and balance of the design. Rather than forcing an unsuitable outcome, we worked closely with the customer to explore alternative options that would make the best use of her chosen fabric.
We recommended creating a bespoke padded box pelmet, allowing the fabric to take centre stage while delivering a structured and visually striking feature above the window. This approach preserved the integrity of the design while creating a strong focal point within the room.
To complement this, the customer selected a Romo fabric, Celino in Wild Rose, for the Roman blind itself. This choice worked seamlessly alongside the original fabric and the nursery’s colour scheme, creating a cohesive, balanced finish across the space.
The final result is a carefully considered installation that not only reflects the customer’s original vision, but enhances it—demonstrating how thoughtful design and expert guidance can transform a potential limitation into a standout feature.
